Goal
The goal of the Substance Abuse Management Module is to teach
persons dependent upon or abusing alcohol or drugs how to acquire the
skills for relapse prevention and for living satisfying and sober lives.
Overview
Constructed
to teach persons abusing or dependent upon alcohol or drugs how to
acquire the skills for relapse prevention and for living satisfying and
sober lives, this module is suitable for all types of individuals who
abuse alcohol and drugs and is specially organized to meet the needs of
the dually diagnosed whose mental disorders are complicated by drug or
alcohol abuse. The Trainer's Manual contains exercises and handouts for
facilitating the developments of required skills by participants.
Skills Taught in the Module
The module teaches participants how to identify and address the warning signs of relapse through exercises, handouts, videos, discussion, and implementation of problems solving skill areas.
Special Considerations
This
